SCALO FARINI

The Scalo Farini railway station, located in Milan, holds significant historical importance as the largest among the city's seven railway stations. It has long played a crucial role in facilitating mobility in the area. Currently, the station occupies a vast decommissioned area measuring 8,800 square meters.

The master plan adheres to the original orientation of the railway line and encompasses sixteen new buildings with sinuous shapes, culminating in a tower. These buildings exhibit a dual identity: externally, they feature a solid body made of red concrete, while internally, facing the courtyard, they showcase four levels of white concrete loggia that ascend towards the tower.

The primary objective of the project is to establish a new urban arrangement characterized by a series of courtyards that address the lack of green public spaces in the neighborhood.
